Kaamos is also known as the Polar Night, which is a phenomenon where there are at least 24 consecutive hours of darkness, the sun does not rise at all, this occurs only inside the polar circles.
I used Kaamos as a metaphor for depression, one of the most prevalent mental health disorders in the world.
The idea behind this concept is using art to give form to your pain with mindfulness, and find comfort from that.
The compositions are situated in the intersection of more music genres, in the album you can find a blend of dark ambient, drone, contemporary classical music, compositional ambient, dark cinematic.
